Obviously switching journals soon. I do love to repeat those patterns, you know. :)

There may be some truth to this alcoholism thing and damn am I glad. I'm going to binge drink for the next three days and wallow about life and love and everything in between.

But first, sleep.

My birthday is not coming soon, but if it was I would ask you to purchase me a subscription to ReadyMade. Its only $20? :)

I NEED MORE MONEY.

I NEED THE PROMOTION I WAS PROMISED LIKE DOGS YEARS AGO. I NEED MY STUPID RAISE WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE HIT MY PAYCHECK LAST PAY PERIOD, BUT WAS MYSTERIOUSLY ABSENT. I NEED MY TAX REFUND.

I have soo much I want to purchase right now. I've been all thrifty lately, but the need to consume is gripping me again. $140 for a PS2 at Michael's work. $100 for a sewing machine there too. Money for paint, my car, summer garage sales, tickets to visit Pops, vodka at the Capitol Club.

My desperate need for material things is making me think about bartending again. I enjoy lecherous old men as much as the next girl, but damn I miss the extra cash flow that came from making $60-75 a night. I just don't know if I can handle it.

Next week I will be the proud owner of a new-to-me mini-fridge. It was in the FREE section on craigslist last night. I am excited.

Shae and I are upstairs having dinner at my apartment. My freaky roommate walks by with a can of spray paint, some newspaper, and the plastic case of a computer monitor. "A little case modification, eh?" I asked him. I was thinking about how excellently geeky and strange the people I live with are. Chris is an artist, so he spray paints a lot of ordinary house hold objects. I think because he inhales so much in the way of paint fumes, I should really have expected his answer. I'm sure you can imagine my surprise when he replied, "Uhh, no. I found this computer monitor and I'm going to turn it into a robot."

Mission accomplished! My car is finally clean. Well, not entirely clean, since it still needs to be vaccuumed and washed and loved all over by the fine folks at Elephant Car Wash. That, however, must wait until my next pay day or until my tax refund arrives in Michael's account -- whichever comes first.

I have a load of lights in the dryer and I have a bleach load of Michael and my white shirts and socks in the washing machine. I'm going to go attach a bumper sticker to my car, and then I'm going to clean clean clean some more!

One of the girls at work got a "real job" last week. I'm trying not to be bitter that she thinks her chosen profession (legal secretary) is more valid than mine because she now has many more opportunities than me to meet a [rich] man and settle down [in a big house]. And, because of this, I'm picking up extra shifts. I need the overtime, which will be nice as my raise kicks in around the same time. Today is my last day off for at least the next 13, but probably the next 15 days.

I should be spending today cleaning my car, my room, my clothes, and my life. Instead I watched today's episodes of ER, last night's Sopranos, some Simpsons and some Curb. Then Shae and I went to Bellevue for cinnamon pretzels at Auntie Em's.

I have to at least do some laundry, which is where I am headed too right now.
